See the chaletsVerchaix is a small village on the sunny side of the Haut-Giffre valley in Haute-Savoie. In winter, the Grand Massif ski area is on the doorstep. In summer, the valley is full of walking trails, lakes and waterfalls, with a wide range of activities: hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, via ferrata, rafting, caving, horse riding and tennis.
The two chalets suit very different trips. Chalet Ourson is a quiet place for two, up the hillside at 950 metres. Chalet Ours is a family and group chalet for up to 11, down in the valley a short walk from Lac Bleu. Both are run by Chrystèle, and you can book them here directly with her or through Airbnb.

An old mazot, completely renovated into a warm, comfortable hideaway on the hillside at 950 metres. One bedroom, one bathroom and a cosy living space with a south-facing terrace and a garden. The cable car is a five-minute drive away. Pets not allowed. Self check-in with lockbox.
For families and groups, up to 11
A spacious family home with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fenced 1,200 m² garden, a large south-facing terrace and a fireplace. Children and pets are welcome, with toys, games and a cot in the chalet. Lac Bleu is a five-minute walk, and the ski bus stops 200 metres away.
Beautifully renovated mazot, lovely panorama, quiet. We had a wonderful stay and discovered this very beautiful region.
